Privacy Policy
Overview
Rinly LLC ("Rinly," "we," "us") publishes and maintains our own software and apps. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our apps, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We built this policy to actually describe what we do — if a section doesn't apply to a particular app, we've said so.
As a small, independent publisher, we try to collect as little as possible. We don't sell personal information, and we don't run advertising networks inside our apps.
Information we collect
The information we have depends on how you interact with us:
- Contact and support requests: If you email us or use the contact form on this site, we receive whatever you include — typically your name, email address, and message.
- App usage data: Some apps generate crash reports or basic diagnostic logs to help us fix bugs. Where an app offers a choice, this is opt-in and can be turned off in the app's settings.
- Purchase information: If you buy an app through an app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), the store — not Rinly — processes your payment. We receive a receipt confirming the purchase but never see your full card details.
- Website analytics: We use basic, aggregated analytics (page views and general location by country) to understand how this website is used. This data isn't tied to your name or email.
We do not require an account to use most Rinly apps, and we don't ask for personal information we don't need for the app to function.
How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Respond to support requests and questions
- Diagnose and fix bugs or crashes
- Understand which parts of our apps and website are actually useful
- Meet legal and tax obligations related to sales
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent it to data brokers or marketers.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of service providers to run our business, including app store platforms for distribution and payment, and infrastructure providers that host this website and our email. Each only receives the information it needs to do its job, and we choose providers with their own privacy commitments. We don't share information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Data retention
We keep support emails and contact form submissions for as long as needed to resolve your request and for a reasonable period afterward in case you follow up. Purchase records are kept as required by tax and accounting law. Diagnostic crash data is retained only as long as it's useful for fixing the issue it relates to, typically a few months.
Your choices
You can:
- Turn off diagnostic reporting in any app that offers the setting
- Ask us what information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information — see our Data Deletion page for how
To exercise any of these, email contact@rinly.com from the address associated with your request.
Children's privacy
Rinly apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who on our small team can access it. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't collect more than we need in the first place, which limits what there is to protect.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change to how we handle information, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted on this website.
